# HoraNow

> HoraNow is a comprehensive Vedic timekeeping app for iOS and Android. It combines planetary hours (Hora), Choghadiya, Vrata tracking, and Panchanga into four layers of ancient timing wisdom — all updated every minute based on your exact location.

## Core Concepts

### Planetary Hours (Hora)
- 24 variable hours per day (12 day + 12 night)
- Chaldean order: Saturn → Jupiter → Mars → Sun → Venus → Mercury → Moon
- Location-sensitive: boundaries change by latitude, longitude, and date

### Kalas & Choghadiya
- Choghadiya: seven-fold time segments (Amrit, Shubh, Labh, Char, Rog, Kaal, Udveg)
- Rahu Kala: daily inauspicious window (varies by day of week)
- Yamaganda Kala: another inauspicious period to avoid critical tasks
- Gulika Kala: minor inauspicious window
- Visual timeline with green (auspicious) and red (inauspicious) bands

### Vrata Calendar
- Weekly vrats: Monday (Shiva), Tuesday (Hanuman), Thursday (Guru), Friday (Lakshmi), Saturday (Shani)
- Lunar vrats: Ekadashi (twice monthly), Sankashti Chaturthi, Pradosh, Amavasya, Purnima
- Special vrats: Mahurat, Karthika, Sankranti, and more
- Follow/unfollow system with notification alerts before each vrat day

### Panchanga (Vedic Calendar)
- Tithi (lunar day), Nakshatra (moon mansion), Yoga, Karana
